PRODUCTION FLOW & CHANGEOVERS
Build a production rhythm the floor can follow.
Address bottlenecks, unstable production sequences, and avoidable setup losses through focused analysis and implementation.
What the work involves
Find what limits output
Follow work through the selected product family. Observe queues, interruptions, equipment availability, and the constraint on good output.
Make the sequence workable
For suitable repeating families, evaluate Every Product Every Interval (EPEI) scheduling. Match the cycle to demand, capacity, and the real changeover burden.
Improve the changeover
Use SMED principles to distinguish work that requires stopped equipment from preparation that can happen beforehand. Verify the first good part, then update the method.
WHAT YOU TAKE AWAY
Clear deliverables.
A constraint review, pilot sequencing rules, a changeover action plan, and revised work instructions.
HOW WE CHECK PROGRESS
Measures that matter.
Good output, schedule adherence, end-to-end lead time, work in process, and last-good-to-first-good changeover time.
We agree the scope, baseline, and comparison conditions before the pilot. Results depend on the process, implementation, and operating conditions.
Built on manufacturing experience.
Deanna’s prior-career work includes Lean implementation in electronics and hydraulic manufacturing, with hands-on experience in material systems, production processes, SOPs, and training. The engagement starts by understanding your operation.
YOUR NEXT STEP
Start with the process
that keeps getting stuck.
Tell us what is slowing your operation down. We’ll discuss the challenge and a practical place to begin.
